Kinesio tape is an adhesive elastic cotton band with a thickness and weight similar to that of the human skin with an elasticity of 40-50% and with an adhesive made of acrylic and hypoallergenic material to ensure perspiration and permeability. It is water-resistant and it kept on for up to a week allowing 24 hour constant action. It does not contain drugs or other ingredients and once removed it does not leave any residue. Thanks to its elasticity, when applied to joints, it allows the complete movement of the bodypart to perform its biomechanical action. The adhesive is activated by body heat which keeps the tape in place for many days, up to a week.
